Using the Protocol Analyzer
Traffic flow analysis
Protocol distribution
This part of the program monitors the flow of data through your network adapter. It displays a pie chart of the network protocol distribution. There are four tabs: low level Ethernet frames, IP frames level, and two applications (top) level tabs:
Toolbar buttons and their functions:

Resets the chart and the report. |

Processes an existing session file. |

Saves the chart or the report to a file. |
 |
Processes the current captured session. |
 |
Shows/hides the chart or the report. |
 |
Sets a hardware (MAC addresses) filter. Available filter settings:
Note: this filter applies to live captures only. |

Changes the global filter settings. |
 |
Applies the global filter (if configured). |
 |
Rotates the chart to the left. |
 |
Rotates the chart to the right. |
