Web-server
The search engine provides a web-interface and therefore requires a web-server. If you already have an IIS (Internet Information Server) or any other third-party web-server, you probably do not need the built-in web-server. If you do not have a web-server installed on the computer, you can use the Network Search Engine’s built-in one. The built-in web-server can only listen on port 8080 and does not require any configuration. The built-in web server status is displayed and if it does not start up when you click Start, port 8080 is probably in use by another application. Check the Windows’ Event Log for details.
