Network Scanner freezes after start

Network Scanner freezes after start 24 August 2016, 01:14

Hi all.

I am having this issue with the newest Network Scan version (6.1.7), even portable as installed version: the software freezes in seconds after opening. No action is needed to make it freeze. Any idea?

I am using Windows 7 enterprise, 32GB Dell mobile workstation M4800

Does it actually show the main window? Both portable and installed?

Hi Andrew.
Yes, it does. Sometimes I have time to write down few digits for starting IP range, sometimes not even that.
A colleague, at my side, is able to use the tool normally, using a similar mobile workstation.

That's really strange, we have a lot of people using the Network Scanner and nobody has ever reported an issue like this.

Try deleting the application's config file in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\SoftPerfect Network Scanner, but if it doesn't help, I am afraid it's something external, e.g. antivirus software interfering.

Hi Andrew. The folder you said was empty at all. However, I deleted that folder, and the installed version seems to be running. The portable still freezing.
