Moving the focus across to the next octet in the IP address 15 September 2011, 19:20

Hi Guys, is there a shortcut to allow us to select the next octet in the IP address in the range section (like Tab button works in tables)?

Press "." (dot)

This only works if you are entering octets though.

what i often do is click into the from range and amend the ip address to what i need, normally just changing the 3rd digit. then i want to be able to press tab, to get to the same part on the too range. '.' doesn't seem to work neither does Tab?

any chance to have easy TAB or dot to move between octets?
this is the only missing interface convenience from this great application smile

Could you suggest an example of an "easy TAB"?
The TAB key moves focus between the IP address input controls, the dot key moves between octets.

the dot key only move to next octet if we change it first, which is pretty annoying if we just want to skip to the next octet.

any chance you can make it move to next octet even if the latter hasn't changed?

that will make the interface much more comfortable as currently we need to use the mouse to do this operation

Nope, it's the standard Windows IP edit control implementation. You can observe the same behaviour in the Windows TCP/IP settings.
