No DACL message in Network Scanner

No DACL message in Network Scanner   01 April 2016, 11:33

In Network Scanner, I see the message "No DACL". Please advise what this acronym means in this particular context.

This means no discretionary access control list was assigned to a shared folder. According to this article from MS, that would let anyone access it:

If the object does not have a discretionary access control list (DACL), the system grants access; otherwise, the system looks for Access Control Entries (ACEs) in the object's DACL that apply to the thread.
