Automatic pause issue

Dear Andrew and experts at SoftPerfect,

I need to use the advanced option "Automatically pause newly submitted jobs for manual selective printing" therefore I have enabled it (ticked the box). However, even with this option selected, print jobs still go directly through the 2 printers I have installed on my computer without being paused.

Try changing the following in the printer's settings:

Start printing after the last page is spooled.

Thanks Andrew, but the proposed solution didn't work for my case sad

Actually, the automatic pausing option did FIRST WORK WELL with my local color printer (Brother HL-3040, WinXP Pro on a laptop). After that, I did install the same color printer but on a desktop machine also running WinXP Pro, but the automatic pausing did not work.

As we know, Print Inspector is hardware dependent. In our case, is it more related to the printer? the machine? the operating system ?

The printer's driver most likely. It can also be a permissions issue. Try to allow document management for Everyone:
