Command line: HTML output and batch commands   27 March 2006, 12:13

Hey Andrew,

Is there anyway the basic net scanner can be set to scan a specified range and save an html file from the command line? I wouldn't mind scheduling it to run now and then automated.

Off topic, but I also noticed the MAC addresses are coming up with 8 bytes sometimes instead of 6, such as the local ethernet adaptor being 00-C0-DF-02-E7-EA-00-00. Strange. Yet other IP's are fine such as a router 00-0F-3D-B1-54-73.

1. Yes, have a look at user's manual at the bottom of the page. You probably need the /auto and /range switches.

2. This is kind of a bug, but non-critical. Two ending zeros are added every time when the scanner looks up the local MAC address.

Sometimes you can get the answer faster if you try the forum search and/or have a look at the software user manual to see if your question has already been answered.
