IP address instead of computer name

IP address instead of computer name 25 February 2006, 06:23

I am currently using the trial version and for some reason, one of the print job listed in the print inspector showed an IP address (I know which computer it's from ) and not the computer name. I am wondering if anybody know what might be the cause for this?

This may happen time to time but unfortunately the reason is out of Print Inspector control. The names appear exactly as these reported by the print spooler and sometimes it returns just IP address of a machine instead of its name (I suppose due to temporary WINS or NetBios system fault)
